Friday morning has dawned grey and I'm on deck putting in a Gybe (this is when you change your sailing direction down wind). The winds are consistent at 25-30 knots and backing to the west.......

Collapsed Bunk Repairs
Something that I haven't mentioned in my previous blogs is the fact that soon after I left Albany I noticed that one of my top bunks on the boat was lying a skew... After a closer inspection I realized that the small circle that the aluminium frame of the bunk slots into had snapped in two. I think it was all a bit too much, carrying all the food bags...

My First Blog From Sea
Well I still can't believe I am here sailing south... This is three years in the making with so many hurdles and set backs to overcome. There was also so much to get done in Albany that I never really got the chance to just sit and assimilate the challenge before me. I was a constant blurr of energy going from one task to the next and now that I am at sea I still don't feel like I have left.
