I felt like I was a rock climber clinging to a cliff face trying to make my porridge.....

It has also started to get quite a bit colder.  Its 11 degrees outside now but over the next 2 days.......

When I woke I had a little strategy session with Bob from Met Bob who is doing all of my weather routing and we came up with the following plan. 

There is nothing but heaving ocean below me. If I let go I would have been overboard.............

Well I have had a very eventful and tiring 24 hours.  As you know last night there was a storm.......

Well the last 30 hours or so have been quite trying.

Well I do hope you are all feeling better than I am at the moment........

Well it has finally happened.  I have slipped lines, hoisted my sails and left South Africa.....

I just wanted to give you all another update.  So far, things have been progressing well even if I would have liked to already be at sea by now but I am happy with the progress with all things considered.

Update time... Over the last week things have been moving forward as fast as they can but unfortunately with shipping delays and international transfer delays I am not quite where I would like to be at this point
