Well last night the conditions continued to be annoying, either delivering 20 knots of wind or 40 knots of wind. In a few of those squalls the winds peaked at 47 knots so it was impossible for me to shake out the reefs in the lulls, so I just had to wear it……..

Well if you remember yesterday I was talking about getting some kelp wrapped around the keel, well almost an hour after sending the blog back, Climate Action Now was suddenly shooting off again, the winds and swell had also increased and while I can’t be sure…….

Last night I finally managed to get to bed by around 3am and by 4am the winds had started to veer from the SW to the W before shifting to the NW and build in strength. I needed to put a gybe in, but I decided to wait until first light to make it a little easier. So, at 5am I got kitted up……

Last night I managed to get to bed at 3am but it was a cold night so I spent quite a bit of time boiling the kettle twice so that I could have a hot water bottle at my feet and one to shove down my vest to keep me warm in bed. It was so nice buried deep in my sleeping bag, and I simply didn't want……

Well after getting to bed at midnight last night I managed to have a halfway decent sleep, however I still felt like I could use some more when I woke up. I needed to get up at 0800 to change over the micro plastic sample, but I went right back to bed afterwards. At 1000 it was time for the second micro plastic sample change…..
