Well last night the winds continued to ease off, so it was no surprise that my boat speed started to really suffer because I still had the drogue out along..........

Land Ahoy!!  I was so shocked to see it that I almost didn’t believe my eyes at first......

For the first few hours I should be getting max 40 knots however on the back side of the storm that will hit after midnight the max gusts forecasted is 70 knots.....

Light and shifting winds plagued my sleep last night as the winds continued to drop out as the High-Pressure Ridge settled over me.........

Last night the winds maintained a healthy 20-25 knots, however they did occasionally touch the 30 knots range.  Given that it was the middle of the night.........

After shaking out to the second reef last night once the winds had dropped out I enjoyed a rather un-eventful evening getting a good night’s sleep. I awoke feeling really rested for the first time in a while.....

For most of last night the winds maintained 15-20 knots from the East so the sail arrangement of the No 2 reef in the main and the No2 jib with 1 tuck in it worked well until I got a rude awaking .........
