Last night the winds maintained a healthy 20-25 knots, however they did occasionally touch the 30 knots range.  Given that it was the middle of the night.........

After shaking out to the second reef last night once the winds had dropped out I enjoyed a rather un-eventful evening getting a good night’s sleep. I awoke feeling really rested for the first time in a while.....

For most of last night the winds maintained 15-20 knots from the East so the sail arrangement of the No 2 reef in the main and the No2 jib with 1 tuck in it worked well until I got a rude awaking .........

Last night the winds thankfully managed to stay above 8 knots even in the lulls, allowing me to at least get some shut eye.  As you remember me saying yesterday.........

Throughout last night the winds continued to fill in and by 10 am there was a consistent 20 knots of wind from the North gusting up to 25 knots giving.........
